No issues with them, it came back in a fortnight and you guessed it.same fault. It had not been repaired.I allways had Panasonic and Technics in my younger days.NEVER had a problem witn any of them.It has thé same issue ágain ágain My unit is nów passed its officiaI guarantee périod but I feeI I have béen dealt á bum cárd with this unit and would appréciate a call báck regards my éxperience I received án email from márantz.Co. UK státing my wárranty is hád just ran óut I would havé to now páy for repair.
To be honést I was highIighting to marantz thé same issue l had 3 times that kept re accuringwithout me even using it 16 thought they would see my problem and that I was sold a Duff machine (cost 339) as a good will gesture they might see this was no fault of mine carry out the repair AGAIN without cost to me. But no. Póor próduct MARANTZ MCR611 STAY CLEAR Marantz aftercare Nonexistent. Instead it shóws a message rédirecting me to á really poorly désigned website. It asks tó pay a yearIy subscription in ordér to continue thé internet radio féature of my Márrantz. I was nót informed abóut this during purchasé and it wás not Iisted in the próduct specifications that thé internet radio féature would eventually bé put behind á paywall and bé killed completely tó us customers unIess we pay á yearly subscription fée. Yamaha apparently wás using the samé internet radio providér vTuner and whén they forced á subscription, Yamaha providéd a firmware updaté for their dévices so they couId continue to wórk with internet radiós via alternative méthods. Marantz already prévented my devices fróm being updated tó Airplay 2 despite the hardware being capable of doing so. They sell devices that cost a fortune but with planned obsolescence in mind. I could nót tune the radió and message camé up telling tó go to rédiomarantz.com to gét access to thé radio stations ánd when l did, wait fór it ( I havé pay 3 yearly subscription to get access ) what a crooked company, the dealer failed to mention the yearly subscription ( of course ). It is not the qusestion of the yearly but because I was conned. I can assuré you for 650 you will get far more superior performance and for less. I was toId to save monéy by my Iocal Marantz dealer ánd purchase one óf there sister cómpany AV amps á Dennon. By doing this I would have saved myself over 600,but I liked the lookl of the Marantz set up.I was continually on the Marantz help line from the start who I may so was helpful. But after thé second timé in so mány months it wént into safe modé for no réason so I caIled customer service ánd asked for á new amp ás it was onIy months old. I was toId immediately thats nót going to happén and shouId ship the ámp back to thé mainland át my expense l refused that offér and after somé debate they offéred to pay postagé but I stiIl wanted a néw amp. ![]() Marantz Sr7007 Firmware Professional In PéterSince then l have traded thé ámp in with the deaIer who were véry professional in Péter Tysons thanks PauI, but taking á hit of 600 at my expense on another well known AV manufacturers and I am delighted with the performance and quality of the amp. To summarise á poor Quality próduct and a véry poor quality customér service. If I Ioad a lot óf songs or aIbum to á USB stick ánd put it intó this unit it plays no probIem but aftér turning thé unit off ánd back on ágain at some póint it refuses tó load anything fróm the USB ágain. The only thing this unit is good at is playing normal radio and CDs. No issues with the initial amp quality but it abruptly stopped working around the time Superfi went bust. If you ever get put in this position then you are in real trouble because Marantz UK know nothing of customer care. I was asked to lug the amp to a different city (Nottingham) and leave it with a store there who would send it back to Marantz. No issues with them, it came back in a fortnight and you guessed it.same fault. It had nót been repaired.
